In the late nineteenth century, "Louis" suffered from epileptic fits, bouts of paralysis and personality changes.  Thanks to the efforts of psychology professor Jennifer Freyd and the UO Libraries, Louis' story and many others have been preserved in the Dissociation and Truama Archives
