A two-year interdisciplinary study considered these questions and more in a comprehensive report that reveals Oregon's challenges when it comes to immigration.
Eleven College of Arts & Sciences researchers and professors from the departments of history, anthropology, geography, sociology, psychology collaborated to produce the report which tracks the history of immigration in Oregon.
The FULL REPORT entitled, "Understanding the Immigrant Experience in Oregon" also provides recommendations for communities and policymakers on how to help immigrants integrate socially and economically.
