Math Does Windows

A camera iconCheck out the dazzling "math windows" in Deady Hall.

Not all university buildings are graced with stained glass windows representing the principles of mathematics, but UO is unique. Recently, former student David Jordan donated to the math department four original stained glass windows, completed while Jordan was a student.  They have been installed on the second floor of Deady Hall where those relaxing in the student lounge can contemplate the beauty of their design.

View these windows yourself, along with descriptions of the math behind them.
